- Inkjet Printers - use of piezoelectrics or thermal bubble ejection to deposit ink on paper.
- Accelerometers in modern cars for a large number of purposes including airbag deployment in collisions.
- Accelerometers in consumer electronics devices such as game controllers, personal media players / cell phones and a number of digital cameras. Also used in PCs to park the hard disk head when free-fall is detected, to prevent damage and data loss.
- MEMS gyroscopes used in modern cars and other applications to detect yaw; e.g. to deploy a roll over bar or trigger dynamic stability control.
- Silicon pressure sensors; e.g. car tire pressure sensors, and disposable blood pressure sensors.
- Displays; e.g., the DMD chip in a projector based on DLP technology has on its surface several hundred thousand micro mirrors.

- Bio-MEMS applications in medical and health related technologies from Lab-On-Chip to MicroTotalAnalysis (biosensor, chemosensor).
- Interferometric modulator display (IMOD) applications in consumer electronics (primarily displays for mobile devices). Used to create interferometric modulation - reflective display technology.

Ultra Precision Excise and Attach Machine
This system precisely excises small plastic parts from supply reels and attaches them to silicon wafers using a UV curable adhesive. High-performance machine vision and precision motion components enable ultra-precision alignments between the parts and wafer. A robot with a dual wafer gripper automatically moves wafers between the processing table, input cassette, and a UV flood station.

This sophisticated, flexible wafer metrology system combines a Micro-Epsilon profilometer with a high-performance, high-resolution vision system and laser interferometer to detect and measure laser-cut features on both sides of either glass or silicon wafers.

- Ultra High Precision Wafer Attach Machine: This machine attaches small, thin components to the surface of a wafer using vision-guided servo control. First, an array of parts is robotically loaded into one end of the machine. The vision system then directs the X-Y-Theta table to present an individual part for pickup. The part is then placed onto an air conveyor for transport to the attach station.
