DWFritz has built many systems for inspection and quality assurance. Whether a tool is needed for pure inspection purposes, or whether a machine needs to inspect its own processes, DWFritz will deliver a successful project that exceeds your expectations.
DWFritz is a Cognex® Certified Vision Integrator, with the skills and experience to provide the most precise, reliable and efficient vision inspection systems available. We also utilize other technologies and suppliers as appropriate for the application, such as mechanical, laser, confocal, and others.
DWFritz has helped many clients reduce their quality assurance costs by automating challenging or repetitive inspection and metrology tasks using well-designed, robust systems. We understand that many clients require fast inspection systems with high throughput and we have designed and built systems to meet their needs.
DWFritz has built tools capable of sub-micron accuracy and nanometer level repeatability, automated location of fiducials and targeted features, automated metrology of many characteristics, surface inspections, defect detection, three dimensional (3-D) inspections, and simultaneous inspection of an object from different perspectives. We utilize optical vision, line scan, laser, and other sensor technologies to perform inspection functions.
Tools we have built include MEMS inspection, medical device inspection, wafer defect inspection, product characterization tools, wafer metrology, flex circuit inspection, implant component inspection, robotic inspection, in-line inspection, Optical Character Recognition (OCR) inspection, Optical Character Verification (OCV) inspection, defect detection, packaging inspection, screw inspection, and electronics inspection and metrology.
DWFritz Automation offers expertise in successfully applying machine vision often coordinated with robotic presentation. One of the most common applications of Machine Vision is the inspection of manufactured goods such as semiconductor wafers, MEMS products, automotive/aerospace sub-systems, food, packaging and pharmaceuticals.
Machine vision software can include a number of different image processing techniques such as the following:
In most cases, a machine vision system will use a sequential combination of these processing techniques to perform a complete inspection. E.g., a system that reads a barcode may also check a surface for scratches or tampering and measure the length and width of a machined component.
This system enables high-throughput inspection of many different types of implants/small parts (screws, hooks, connectors, etc) using high-performance machine vision, a high-precision, six-axis robot, and sophisticated software. Patent Pending, 2006.
