Precision positioning is required on a large percentage of our machines.
Computationally extensive methods, using machine vision and servo control, have resulted
in machines which are capable of part placements with mean alignments below
1 micron and dispensing of liquids with precisions of ± 25 microns. Applications that do not demand such high precision have also been developed
using more simple mechanisms, such as point-to-point pneumatics and DC motors.
