Senior Electrical Systems Design Engineer

Our Senior Electrical Systems Design Engineer works with a team of other experienced and innovative engineers and technicians to develop first time, custom automated equipment. If you enjoy seeing your creative work being implemented into amazing hardware, this is the job for you.

You will work with a project team from the analysis of a client’s needs through concept development, component selection and assembly/debug. Forty to sixty percent of this position involves CAD/documentation with the remainder being hands-on.

You will be responsible for:

Automation systems concepts
Machine controls architecture
Electrical and electronic component selection and integration
Detailed controls design
Comprehensive design documentation
Machine start-up, debugging and controls troubleshooting

Some of the sophisticated components integrated into our state-of-the-art systems include:

Machine vision components
Precision servo controls
Robots
Laser interferometers
PC and PLC controllers

Job Requirements:

BSEE
15 years electrical engineer experience including 5 years of recent automation/controls experience
Five years additional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
A fundamental understanding of electrical codes, electrical standards, machine safety standards and CE certification
EMC testing oversight and EMI problem resolution
