Mechanical Design Engineer (Temporary Position)
The temporary Mechanical Design Engineer position will work with a team of dedicated Mechanical and Controls Engineers and machine builders to create sophisticated, turnkey custom automated manufacturing systems from concept through installation.
The Mechanical Design Engineer will:
- Take direction from the Lead Mechanical Engineers in completing mechanical design tasks for complex, custom automated equipment
- Be responsible for developing innovative designs that meet and exceed the Lead Mechanical Engineers’ needs including cost, schedule and performance criteria
- Work with systems that use such technology as multi-axis precision stages, machine vision, integrated motion control, pick & place robotics, and laser sensors
- Utilize precision Mechanical Design Engineering skills
- Interface with the project team and lead Mechanical Engineer throughout the project

Job Requirements:
- BSME or MSME
- Minimum of 10 years automated machine design experience
- Experience with sophisticated electromechanical machines
- Experience with precision mechanisms
- Requires creativity and the knowledge of what works
- Must be able to visualize elegant, innovative solutions to challenging mechanical problems
- Solid modeling CAD expertise, preferably Autocad Inventor
- Familiarity with motion control systems
- Experience with pneumatic systems
